Clean city update

October 16, 2019

The health and wellbeing of the community and its members has remained a fundamental tenet in our approach to creating a sustainable waste management model here in Nepal, where 85 percent of people are without access to safe drinking water.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, we successfully installed a mineral water refill station in the center of Sauraha several months ago. This is not only providing clean water for locals and tourists, but is helping to mitigate the dependence on plastic water bottles, which are otherwise dumped in the river or burned with other types of waste.

"85 percent of people are without access to safe drinking water."

The success of our vision is measured in part by the tangible results we see at work within the community on a day-to-day basis, and it reaffirms the importance of the work we’re doing here in Chitwan. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are hoping to expand and install more safe water stations in neighboring areas.

We couldn’t achieve these effective and dynamic solutions without your support, and we appreciate your interest in our efforts to implement this initiative and help the people of Nepal.

Warmest Regards,

Taylor
